RECOM Electronic is an Austrian manufacturer of low power DC-DC converters, AC-DC print modules and open card power supplies, LED drivers and (non-isolated) switching regulators. The company was founded 1974 and is headquartered in Gmunden, Austria and in private hands.

The brand RECOM is famous for innovative and reliable designs, fast time-to-market and very open and close relationship to its customers. This is why, RECOM opened their new high-tech Campus in Gmunden in 2014, where customers can use RECOM’s own EMC laboratory and can design and develop together with RECOM power experts. In 2019, RECOM acquires the power specialist “Power Control Systems Srl” (PCS) in Veneto, Italy.

Focus on Industrial, Medical Applications and Electromobility

The company offers a large variety of products with over 30.000 modules. The company strongly focuses on industrial and medical applications, supported by their new range of ACDC open card power supplies and DIN Rail modules with an impressive seven year warranty. The manufacturer has recently been particularly innovative in medical power supplies for direct patient contact (2xMOPP, BF) and contact-assisted cooling.

With the integration of power supply expert PCS, RECOM is defining another focus on electromobility and railway applications. A rather large number of AC/DC low-power converters for auxiliary supply featuring overvoltage category III were already being manufactured in Xiamen (China). All new with RECOM are high power ratings of 15kW and more for charging pillars, but also on-board solutions for special purpose vehicles. Over the past view years RECOM has developed a comprehensive portfolio of DC/DC converters for the railway industry, especially for on-track/on-board applications.

RECOM products can be used in literally all sorts of applications, including but not limited to industrial automation, transportation, telecommunications, data technology and measurement technology.

The company manufacturers all products by itself in order to guarantee highest yield and cost efficiency. Apart from ISO9001 and ISO14001 certificates, RECOM products are fully approved - according to the application - to IEC/EN62368 or IEC/EN60950, IEC/EN60601 4^th edition or IEC/EN60335.
