Ginger is a compact and flexible System-on-Module (SOM) from COMPEX based on the Qualcomm IPQ5322 SoC, featuring a powerful quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor. The module includes an integrated 2x2 MU-MIMO 2.4GHz radio supporting Wi-Fi7 (802.11be), offering a physical data rate of up to 688Mbps. To enable full tri-band Wi-Fi7 functionality, the Ginger Development Kit (DVK) WPS530MRH provides an M.2 slot for adding external 5GHz and 6GHz radio modules. This enables developers to build scalable, high-performance solutions with concurrent tri-band Wi-Fi and optional 5G/LTE backhaul.

High-Speed Connectivity and Interface Options
Ginger also supports two multi-GbE Ethernet SerDes interfaces, compatible with external 10G/5G/2.5G/1G PHYs. For expansion and peripheral connectivity, it offers 2x PCIe 3.0 lanes and one USB 3.0 port (or a configuration with 1x USB 2.0 + 1x PCIe 3.0). A wide range of interfaces and GPIOs ensures design flexibility for a broad set of embedded networking applications.
